We have enjoyed the natural beauty and serenity provided by the incomparable drive-free beachfront of Ormond over ten years at another oceanfront unit. However, to complement this breath-taking backdrop with the amenities and luxurious features of our Capriana home enhances our living experience immeasurably.
The quality construction, small number of units, the large size of each unit, convenient location and distinctive architectural elements of Capriana make this development the most desirable location on Ormond Beach. I wanted to take the time to write you regarding our most recent purchase of a unit in the Capriana Building in Ormond Beach, Florida. First, let me say that your organization is first rate when it comes to Customer service. All our needs and requests were immediately handled by your team in a thorough and professional manner.
My family and I are thrilled with the beautiful exterior design of this building as well as the great location. The grounds and pool area are second to none on the Ormond Ocean front!
We were very pleased with the interior design of our unit, especially the extra large closet space, 3 large balconies, high ceilings with beautifully appointed crown moldings, and the terrific large rooms that make our unit feel larger than its 2600 square feet!
Overall, our experience in dealing with your company from design to customer service has been first class all the way! It is nice to see how your entire organization stands behind its product. My wife and I could not be happier with our purchase from you.

Yes, I love my condo at Capriana! I was never much of a morning person before but now I look forward to sipping my coffee and enjoying the sunrise over the Atlantic. And we can even see the sunset too over the Tomoka Basin. I love my kitchen - the granite counters and maple cabinets look great and the stainless GE appliances are terrific, especially the very quiet dishwasher. Every day we see an Osprey (bird of prey) hunting for fish in the ocean. He flies over and then hovers for a moment before diving down and grabbing a small fish with his talons just like an eagle. He then flies with this fish in his talons and actually turns it around while he is flying so that the head of the fish is facing forward. This way the fish is more aero-dynamic so it makes flying back to his nest easier. He always flies west towards the intracoastal with his fish so I assume he is bringing it back to his nest. Or maybe it is her nest! We have also seen loads of dolphins and one day I got to see a bunch of them playing in the waves and jumping completely out of the water in the waves. They will actually ride a wave - pretty cool stuff. Hmmm...let me see, what else have we seen from Capriana....oh yes, the sea turtle nest. During sea turtle nesting season the turtle patrol comes every morning at sunrise to check and see if there are any new nests (the turtles lay their eggs at night and dig a deep hole to lay them in and then cover it up before going back to the ocean). The turtle patrol (volunteers I believe) rides this little ATV and when they see signs of a new nest they check it out, mark it with posts, date it, and rope it off so that people don't walk over it. They then come back about 48 days later to begin checking to see if the eggs have hatched. There were 2 nests right by the Capriana and a couple more just a little north. A friend of mine made a comment the other day about all my nature stuff - he said "you are more into nature now that you live in a high-rise condo than you ever were at your house!"
Just last week we saw the Delta II Rocket launch from the beach in front of the Capriana. It was a night launch (8:52pm) and the weather was crystal clear so it was spectacular. The whole horizon lit up at blast-off and we were able to see the rocket as it entered the Earth's atmosphere. Also saw the space shuttle launch about a month or so ago. It was an day launch so not as spectacular.
It is great to have Publix, Family Dollar, Bealls Outlet, and my bank all within a 3 block radius. I love Ormond By The Sea because it is not as developed as the city of Ormond so it feels more like a little community and not a tourist place. The beach is uncrowded even on weekends and in the middle of the week I have had it all to myself.
The funny thing is when I signed the contract to buy my condo I thought I would probably sell it before I closed on it (do a simultaneous closing) but for some reason I did not try very hard to sell it, running only a couple of ads and that was it. I think somehow deep down I knew I was going to love it too much to sell it! Thank you Nickie for all your help. It was a pleasure doing business with Emmer and with you. Sincerely,

We just wanted to tell you and all of your fine staff how much we enjoy this wonderful condo. After and before our closing all my issues with Emmer Development were well taken care of in the most professional way. The size of my unit and the amenities offered are first class. We have traveled all around the world and seen many wonderful places but each time I return to the Capriana I am more impressed with the world class property you have built. We had been waiting for years to find a building like this in the Central Florida area. The beach and the views here are just outstanding and very important to us is having great air service and interstate highways.

My letter is way over due; however I wanted to convey my gratitude for constructing such a fine building as Capriana. It is beautifully designed, right on the ocean, and within walking distance to dining and shopping. The units at over 2.500 sq. ft. are luxurious in every way; with large bedrooms, oversized closets, wood cabinetry, granite counters, and huge balconies to entertain or view the magnificent sunrise and sunset. This is our third, 2nd home and I haven't experienced greater customer satisfaction with any of the few problem solving challenges that arise with a new project.
Bottom line Phil, your team has done a great job and already my family and I have had countless hours enjoying the fruits of your labor. Our thanks go out to everyone involved in bringing Capriana to fruition.
